While Kelly Slater didn't walk away with a winners trophy from the recent Quiksilver Pro New York, he did make his mark with this 10point air. In his heat against Airman Taj Burrow, Slater pulled this off within the dying minutes of the heat.

Slater proving once more that this is his domain...

  Might be old, but always looks amazing. Chopes is an intense wave on a good day, on a bad day it can kill. On this occasion a jet ski rider got in too close to the action and what unfolds looks farking amazing. The timing is impeccable, any earlier it wouldn't have mattered, any later it could have been disastrous. Right place right time eh?
