PIPELINE, Hawaii  (14 December, 2006) – It’s regarded as the greatest Final in the Pipeline Masters’ 40-year history; that of the 2006 Rip Curl Pro Pipeline Masters. The classic showdown saw Andy Irons display steely clutch-play as he came from behind in the dying moments to swipe victory from long-time rival Kelly Slater. It was a high-scoring affair between the pair that included a perfect 10 from Irons to seal the win. Most see it as one of the finest battles in the sport's history. Is it the best ASP Final of all time?
