Almost three years in the making, this film documents a world of contrast as daily changes in weather and waves prove to be all part of a larger picture; thumping beach breaks, cold water, and quick tropical storms are just a fraction of what you will find. Brought to you in Super 16mm, A Pleasant Surprise allows for the full beauty of this region and its surfers to be realized.

  What is the Komunity Project? KP is a new line of surf gear owned by the one and only Kelly Slater, with support and backing from Quiksilver int. While there is no talk of this in Australia, we believe this brand has serious legs and the product looks awesome. We checked out their bag range, and this gear is looking top line!

  Famous are all about ultra high quality products with great function and high appeal. This summer they've two new deck grip releases, the Timmy Curran signature model and The Brit. The Timmy Curran model isn't bad and comes in an eco pad, but I'm frothin' on the Brit.

  O'neill has just announced that they will be working with the Orange 21 (behind SPY OPTICS) team to release O'neill eyewear. Covering both sunglasses and snow goggles that are due to be released March 2010. Let's hope this brings some new design blood to the team!
