PROJECT BLUE "It's not a charity. It's a plan of action"

Our oceans, waves and beaches are being abused and need help. Project BLUE is a surf industry initiative dedicated to keeping them safe and thriving. When you purchase exclusive project blue gear, a portion of the proceeds fund coastline protection initiatives worldwide.

To make a big change, there first needs to be a million little changes. The future of our planet and the health of our oceans require a global effort with shared responsibility among individuals, brands and organisations, all working together. Each one of us is responsible for the change we want to see in this world. This change will come from altering our habits and is further amplified by our actions. "reduce, reuse, recycle" are three great words for everyone to live by. "Buy a better future" is another great action theme. Purchase responsibly, and don't over consume. Buy products that have meaning and values for our planet.

That's why project BLUE was created. Six of the top global surf brands invested into a program aimed at raising funds to support the surfrider Foundation, a leading global grass-roots organisation that works diligently to protect our oceans, waves and beaches.

It's important for all of us to be conscious consumers. We can make change happen by reducing, reusing, recycling and making purchasing decisions that are in favour of helping what millions around the world enjoy every day. This type of change also benefits our fragile coastal eco-system and will leave something for future generations to appreciate.

With project BLUE the math is easy: You buy. Your beach wins.

mesurf's thoughts:

An awesome initiative and I think more brands and products should be involved. We spoke with the Project Blue team, and they said when you can purchase the products online or instore. You can find some at Surf Stitch. Every surfer should try support the cause.
