mesurf Review:
You drive to the beach, rock up to find the car park and streets surrounding the place are packed, it's hot and people are everywhere. The surf is pumping so you don't want to waste time, so you quickly get all your shit together, grab your board from the boot and lock up the car. You quickly have a scan around to make sure no one is watching and throw the key up under the front left tyre. Thinking to yourself, 'even if someone was watching they wont find it in that secret little suspension cup'. You then bolt down to the surf where you will be for the next few hours. One thing you didn't notice was the little punk that was watching you from down the road, he looked like he was getting ready for a surf as well. He watched where you threw the key and knows your going to be out there for some time with the swell pumping. He waits a few minutes while people are buzzing around and then casually heads over to your car. Feels up under the car and 'snap' he now has your keys!

Thousands of cars get ripped off like this every year from Australia's beaches and you would be pretty naive to think that this wouldn't happen to you. Sure you might go 20years without it ever happening, but it only needs to happen ONCE and you no longer have a car. I was one of the naive crew until early 2009 when I woke up to myself.

I was recently sent a 'SURF LOCK' (a padlock with a hollow section to store your keys) to test out and see what I thought. I have to admit since using this little fella, I just can't believe I never actually got one a lot earlier. I used to worry probably every second or third surf that someone prob saw me hide the key, but was always lucky. Sure I don't have the hottest beast on the block, but a car is a car, and if someone had seen me I would be screwed.

The Surf Lock is an easily affordable security measure that will allow you to surf without having to worry if you are going to come back in and have to walk home. Not only that you have to file a theft report, deal with insurance agencies, speak with locals who may have seen something, pay excess and eventually fork out for a new vehicle!

The Surf Lock has loads of room for your key, so it wont matter if you have a large electronic key or not, it will fit. Works exactly the same way as a padlock, making it great for a lot of other purposes.

To make this a valid review, I got a few crew to put the lock through full punishment to see if they could break into it. Not even close! We found the large hook will stop most bolt cutters getting through, and the hard outer-case couldn't be broken with a hammer or things like rocks or concrete. So over all pretty impressive that a small and simple device will keep you chilled next time you are in the surf.

To sum up
Cheaper than a months worth of insurance
Suits any car
Offers more security than any orifice your car might supply
