We're digging a lot of the independent labels that have been rolling out over the past few years, so much so were going to throw down the name of 'micro-label'. These 'micro-labels' are the guys that have put a spark back into the action sports apparel division, starting the collaborations with artists, one off special pieces and showcasing dope new designs. The word 'micro-label' is similar to that of 'micro-brew', a name given to those little brewers out there that make some of the worlds best beer. Micro-label stems from just that, a brand/label that isn't mass produced, is independent and quenches your thirst for cool new gear. Dig?

This time round we're showcasing the dope threads by the funksters at Sitka. A micro-label out of Canada that began their journey in 2002 and who's roots stem from shaping custom surfboards. Surfing and shaping is at the heart of the company and has inspired a similar passion for the other things they design and produce as well.

Their creative approach is unique and fresh and that's what grabbed our attention when we first stumbled upon these guys back a few months ago. They've a great range of apparel in both the male and female range and even produce a few baby pieces.
