TORQUAY, Victoria/Australia – The Rip Curl Pro is the world's longest running and most prestigious professional surfing contest. This year Rip Curl will be celebrating their 50th anniversary of the Bells Beach Easter Rally and the Rip Curl Pro in Australia's surfing home of Torquay.

This year will be headlined by the return of newly-minted 10-time ASP World and defending Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach Champion Kelly Slater, who will be looking to secure yet another record: a fifth Bell. Leading the Aussie assault will be past Bells winners Taj Burrow and 2-time ASP World Champion, Mick Fanning.

  You know how it's been really junk lately, well there's been a fair bit more of that here on the north shore, but thankfully, the last couple of days have had waves and sun, which has helped greatly in getting rid of the brown tide. Yeah, it was bad. Think of last years "triple Brown Poop Masters" and you'll have an idea why you haven't been hearing much from Hawaii lately.
