NORTH SHORE, HAWAII - Kelly Slater and Dane Reynolds, two of the sports biggest names, each put on a memorable display during the prestigious final stop of the last years ASP World Tour, The Billabong Pipeline Masters. The event will be remembered for non-stop, high-calibre action from the outset. The following clip is an awesome compilation of the best waves Kelly and Dane put together throughout the fixture.

Final result? Kelly Slater 2nd, Dane Reynolds 3rd.

Despite Slater and Reynolds not actually facing each during the event, based on results, Slater takes out this scintillating match-up. Watching the footage, Slater does look to have the edge, appearing ridiculously comfortable and at home in the pipeline pits. Regardless, Reynolds, at almost 15yrs his junior, puts on an thrilling display in his own right. Slater has taken out this event six times (including a 3-peat 1994-’96), he is one of only a few surfers to have carved out a reputation at what many regard to be the Madison Square Garden of surfing.
