TAJ BURROW TURNS HOLLYWOOD ACTOR

He’s perhaps one of the most filmed surfers on the planet, but now Taj Burrow is set to star on the big screen as he plays himself in the movie Blue Crush 2.

The original Blue Crush movie raked in more than $50 million at the international box office. The 2002 ‘chick flick’ also saw droves of females take up the sport - which has arguably since seen a rise in the standard of female surfing.

The original starred Kate Bosworth and also featured a cameo from Layne Beachley. Blue Cruch 2 is set in South Africa and will feature Burrow alongside ‘One Tree Hill’ star Sasha Jackson.

Burrow just wrapped up filming his scenes in South Africa and sources say, “he loved it”. He can now focus on the upcoming Billabong Pro at J-Bay where he will look to build on his current third place ASP ranking.
